The wealth manager has also signed up co-founding partner of real estate firm Orion Capital Managers Bruce Bossom and former Schroders property head William Hill to the board.
The formation of the new board is part of Stanhope’s drive to expand its range of services to cover all major asset classes. Stanhope said that given the many avenues for investing in real estate it considers having ‘high quality advice’ to assist in the asset allocation process important.
“We recognise the importance of providing clients with access to different asset classes, “said chief executive Daniel Pinto. “The real estate sector is a key asset class and although it has generally recovered well since the depths of the financial crisis there are still areas and managers that have the potential to create value for our clients.”
“We are delighted to welcome Bruce and William to join our Real Estate Advisory Board. Both are highly experienced in real estate investment, and have solid track records in terms of delivering meaningful strategic advice and investment outcomes,” Pinto added. "We believe they will bring a valuable perspective to our business as we continue to expand our international reach.”
Stanhope Capital has around $9bn in assets under management with offices in London, Geneva and Cayman.
