Investec Wealth & Investment has swiped one of Brewin Dolphin’s senior investment managers for its Bournemouth office.
Hannah Dampney (pictured) will become senior investment manager for private clients and intermediaries, as well as charities and trusts at the £36bn wealth manager. She takes up a new role with the total number of staff in the office now at 40.
Dampney reports to Bournemouth divisional director Scott Jones. He said in a press release: “The Bournemouth office has been established for over 30 years and is going from strength to strength. As the principal wealth manager on the south coast, Hannah’s hire shows our ability to attract the highest quality talent.”
At Brewin, Dampney was most recently a senior investment manager. She worked at the rival wealth manager for eight years and was previously assistant director of the Lymington office.
Previously, she was a stockbroker at Charles Stanley.
She holds a masters in wealth management, investments and securities from BPP Financial Services and is an affiliate member of theSociety of Trust and Estate Practitioners (Step).
Investec Wealth & Investments has 1,300 staff across its 15 UK offices.
