Brown Shipley hires former Barclay wealth trio

|

The trio will focus on growing the firm's client base in Scotland and expand its wealth management and private banking offering.

Veteran weath manager Douglas Noble, who brings more than 30 years' experience, will take on the role of private client director while Neil Mitchell and Gair Brisbane will both be private client senior managers. They will start in their newly created roles on 1 April.

The company has made five senior hires for its Scotland office since September 2013.

"What is unique about our offer to clients is that we can combine financial planning, investment management and banking services, including lending. Increasingly, our clients want to start with a financial plan and then build a bespoke portfolio of investments to meet all their financial needs," Charles Fotheringham, head of the firm's Edinburgh office, said.

In January, former Sanlam chief Hugh Titcomb joined Brown Shipley as head of private banking.
