In March he moved over to Luxembourg-based KBL from one of its subsidiaries, UK wealth manager Brown Shipley, where he had been its chief investment officer for two years.
Doran spent 18 years with Brown Shipley in total, holding analyst and fund manager roles before becoming CIO.
A spokesperson for Brown Shipley confirmed Doran has decided to pursue professional opportunities elsewhere. No direct replacement has been announced.
“Although Kevin has recently been in a new role with Brown Shipley’s parent company, KBL EPB, we would still like to thank him for his time with us,” said the spokesperson. “Having worked at Brown Shipley for over 18 years, Kevin played an important role in developing our investment proposition, with colleagues and clients benefiting from his commitment and energy. We wish him the very best for the future.”
“For Brown Shipley, under the stewardship of Don Smith and Alex Brandreth, chief investment officer and deputy chief investment officer respectively, our investment team continues to go from strength to strength,” the spokesperson added. “As ever, providing clients with a first class service is our objective and with the current team we will continue to do just that.”
