Yearsley, who was, until June, head of investment research at Charles Stanley Direct will join the firm’s board as a non-executive and will chair the firm’s investment committee.
Shore Financial Planning CEO, Alison Treharne, said Yearsley has extremely strong connections with many top fund managers, both in the UK and further afield.
“This gives him unparalleled access to them on a personal and professional level and enables him to make well considered judgements on their strategies for investing,” she said.
Yearsley told Portfolio Adviser that the role will not affect what he does elsewhere and said he continues to have a number of interesting conversation.
“I have known the principals of Shore for years and am delighted to become a member of the team. I have already learned a lot. I have never been on the IFA side before, so it is providing some useful new insights into this side of the industry.”
