The appointment follows the company’s recent launch of the Kames Global Diversified Income Fund in April 2016, and the Kames Global Diversified Growth Fund in June 2016.
Sharpe will be based in Kames’ Edinburgh office and work with the firm’s fund managers, institutional and wholesale sale teams as well as client services, as Kames grows its client base in the UK and continental European markets, the firm said.
“Graeme’s experience and strong communication skills will allow us to continue to fully articulate our credentials in multi-asset as we reach a much wider client base,” said Stephen Jones, chief investment officer. “His appointment will also support the new fund activities both in the UK and across continental Europe.”
Sharpe joins from Hymans Robertson, a pensions and benefits consultancy, where he spent five years as an associate investment consultant.
