Rachel Tilburn, Hugo Pring and Adrian Williams have all joined the company having previously been at Sanlam.
The three new hires will all be investment managers based in the new Lancaster office. They will focus on acquiring and serving clients primarily in Lancashire, Cumbria and other parts of the northern UK.
James said Tilburn, Pring and Williams bring with them good relationships with introducers as well as their own clients, something he believes will add a lot to the business.
The hires bring the team up to 12 professionals. It already has offices in Salisbury and Harrogate. “Since 2004 we have been able to grow our assets under management consistently even through the credit crisis and we are delighted that Rachel, Hugo and Adrian have joined us to help maintain this,” he said.
He added that the timing of this move has been driven by the company’s own strategic plans and internal matters such as finances, rather than any development in the wider market.
James also noted that likely M&A among larger companies in the sector to come could present interesting opportunities for smaller managers in terms of winning new clients and making good hires.
