JP Morgan soft-closes US Small Cap Growth Fund

The asset management arm of JP Morgan is soft-closing its £240.7m US small cap fund to new investors.

“To allow the fund to continue to meet its objectives and to protect the interests of existing investors, we have taken the decision to soft close to new investors," the asset manager said.
 
Launched in 1984, the fund size is at £240.7m and managed by Eytan Shapiro since 1992.
 
In the last three months, the fund’s cumulative performance has slipped to -6.70% compared to Equity Small Cap USA index, according to FE Analytics. The fund invests primarily in the healthcare sector (23.5%) and technology (23.3%), followed by producer durables (17.4%) and consumer discretionary (15.9%).
