The Ready to Invest range of 20 possible portfolios are divided between five risk profiles: defensive, cautious, intermediate, progressive and adventurous.

On top of this, investors can tilt their objective to either income or growth and choose whether they want to hold a combination portfolio investing directly in equities and bonds or a more typical collectives only portfolio.

Paul Jordan, head of business development at Walker Crips IM, said: “What makes us stand apart from other portfolio managers who offer ‘collectives only’ investment is that we can take advantage of our core expertise in direct equities and bonds.

“Having consulted advisers about what they seek in a compelling discretionary management service, we believe our active managed portfolio service meets many of their requirements.”

The recommended minimum investment into one of the portfolios is £25,000 and the service has a clean annual management fee of 0.8% plus VAT. Walker Crips said there is no hidden charges or commission.

Alternatively, a bespoke portfolio service is available for investors who prefer to personalise their portfolio beyond the specific risk, class and objectives in the Ready to Invest portfolios.

For this service Walker Crips recommends a minimum investment level of £100,000 and charges a clean annual management fee of 1%.
