Victoria Hasler exits Square Mile

‘This is an amicable and mutual decision’

Square Mile’s director of research and consulting Victoria Hasler (pictured) has left the businessPortfolio Adviser has learned. 

A spokesperson for the investment research and consultancy house confirmed Hasler’s departure, which they stated was “an amicable and mutual decision”.  

I am sorry to confirm that Victoria has left Square Mile,” they said. “This is an amicable and mutual decision. 

Victoria has been with the firm for nearly six years, essentially from when it was founded, and has made a very positive contribution through building up our research and consultancy business over this time. We would like to thank her for her contribution.” 

Square Mile did not disclose where Hasler was headed.

Hasler joined Square Mile as a senior investment research analyst with a focus on fixed income before being swiftly promoted to head of research in December 2014. 

She was a member of Portfolio Adviser’s editorial panel and recently led the charge on the roll out of Square Mile’s ESG integration and responsible investing ratings for asset managers and individual funds in its Academy of Funds. 

Prior to joining Square Mile Hasler worked as a fund analyst for Brewin Dolphin, specialising in fixed income, property and infrastructure. She also worked as a fixed income manager at Rothschild Private Bank and as an investment analyst for Merrill Lynch.

Hasler holds the investment management certificate and is a CFA and CAIA charterholder.
