Mark Coles takes up the position in Tilney for Intermediaries’ Birmingham office – effective immediately – in order to drive the expansion the firm’s presence in the financial adviser community as it seeks to capitalise on post-RDR demand for investment solutions.

Reporting to Miles Robinson, head of Tilney for Intermediaries, Coles will also contribute to the delivery of the company’s new financial planning businesses.

He arrives from a head of business partnerships position at Cofunds, prior to which he spent four years in a similar capacity with Architas.

“Coles joins the firm at an important time as we look to expand our reach to an even greater number of financial planners,” said Robinson.

“The opportunity to provide robust, cost-effective investment management solutions has seen a renewed focus post RDR. Our expertise means we understand the various challenges facing financial planners and have the capability and resources to address them.”
