Jason Broomer has been appointed in the role of head of investment, and Marianne Weller is joining the team as an analyst.
Jason will work with Richard Romer-Lee and the team to build Square Mile’s research capability, and he will also be responsible for portfolio construction, fund manager selection and the blending of funds to meet individual client requirements.
Formerly, Broomer worked at Butterfield Bank, the largest independent bank in Bermuda, where he was portfolio manager for five years. Prior to this he worked for Bentley Capital, a discretionary investment firm acting on behalf of high net worth individuals. He is a qualified ASIP and an associate of the CFA Society of the UK.
Marianne Weller joins from Morningstar OBSR. She is an analyst and fixed income specialist.
