The Saltus 50 Income Portfolio has a minimum investment of £100,000 and has been designed to meet the need for higher income within the current lowe yield investment climate.

It is invested in a spread of active funds, low-cost trackers and structured products where appropriate.

Simon Armstrong, co-founder of Saltus, said it that as a multi-asset portfolio is managed in a different way to traditional income portfolios which tend to invest in two main asset classes; local stocks and government bonds.

It is managed with an explicit time horizon of a minumum of five years and has a risk budget of 50% of the equivalent risk of investing in the stock market.

“The investment objectives of the portfolio are to generate an attractive level of income and to preserve and grow wealth in real terms (i.e. after inflation) over time,” he commented.

“Saltus exists to help solve problems for advisers and we believe that by offering solutions for both their smaller and larger clients alike, we are aiding their business growth and enabling them to be ready for the post-RDR world,” he added.

There are no initial charges or dealing charges and the custodian for the portfolio will be Jarvis Investment Management Ltd.
