The merged company will be 67% owned by Rothschild & Cie Gestion and 33% owned by HDF Group and will manage approximately €4bn of assets.
The combined firm said it would bring together the teams of two highly regarded houses with excellent reputations and would offer clients a full range of innovative and open-architecture investment solutions that cross the traditional borders between asset classes.
These will included open-ended or dedicated funds, mandates, portfolios and managed accounts.
Rothschild HDF Investment Solutions will be headed up by the chairman and CEO of Rothschild & Cie Gestion – Jean-Louis Laurens and Denis Faller.
Pierre Lenders, who is currently CEO and co-CIO of HDF Finance will be appointed deputy CEO of the new entity.
