Royal London Asset Management has nabbed Phil Davey to become relationship manager for London discretionary sales.

Davey (pictured) joins from a similar role at JP Morgan Asset Management where he was responsible for London and the Channel Islands. Previously he worked at Threadneedle Investments and Amundi Asset Management.

He reports to Phil Reid, head of wholesale, who joined RLAM from HSBC Global Asset Management in 2016. Since his appointment, the wholesale team has expanded from four staff to 11.

Reid said: “Phil joins us at an exciting time; our net fund flows remain robust despite challenging market conditions and investor appetite for new products and initiatives continue to evolve around fixed income and equity funds.”
