Purves and Lance joined RWC in 2010 fresh from running Schroders’ UK Income Funds and until now have not been easily accessible to a UK adviser base.

RWC said this presents a great opportunity for advisers to gain access to well-known fund managers with proven track records.

In total, 11 sub-funds of RWC’s Luxembourg-domiciled Sicav will be added to the platform, including the RWC Income Opportunities Fund, Enhanced Income Fund, Europe Absolute Alpha Fund, Cautious and Enhanced ARC Funds.

Other managers available through these strategies are Ajay Gambhir who used to manage JPM’s UK and European Dynamic Funds and Peter Allwright and Stuart Frost, who ran the Threadneedle Absolute Return Bond Fund.

Dan Mannix, head of business development at RWC, said: "Platforms now require a significant level of demand to onboard new fund groups, so interest from intermediaries using Cofunds with its dominant position in the UK market is incredibly exciting.

"RWC has a number of fund managers, particularly our income team, who have had a long history of working with UK intermediaries. Nick and Ian have been with RWC for nearly two years and they have seen a significant take up of their funds, managing over £1bn already.

"UK investors remain hungry for yield and the RWC Enhanced Income Fund is a compelling strategy, with its 7% yield it is particularly appealing for intermediaries looking to boost the income element of a client’s portfolio at a time when interest rates and bond yields are so low.”
