Board composition set
In March 2018, Prudential announced its intention to demerge M&G Prudential, which is expected to complete by the end of 2019.
In a regulatory update on Tuesday, the firm said: “With Ms Thompson’s appointment, the composition of the board is set for the demerger of M&G Prudential from Prudential plc.”
Mike Evans, chair of M&G Prudential, said Thompson has a “wealth of experience from a distinguished career in global financial services and as a non-executive director”.
At the point of demerger, the M&G Prudential board will consist of: Evans as chair, John Foley as chief executive, Clare Bousfield as chief financial officer, Caroline Silver as senior independent non-executive director, Clive Adamson as non-executive director and chair of the risk committee, Robin Lawther as non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee and Thompson.
