At the inaugural Wealth Manager Awards last year, Smith & Williamson and First Wealth both won awards in the Best Absolute Return Portfolio Manager, the latter given specifically to boutique portfolio management firms.
The categories – which will again be rewarded in 2014 – are defined by the most traditional types of portfolio – Cautious, Balanced and Aggressive – with separate awards again given to boutique and large firms.
The due diligence on the entries will be provided by Enhance Group who will also provide the independent panel of judges with summary analysis of all the portfolios entered, allowing them to make an even more informed decision on who they feel is best placed to run their own client money.
For the 2013 Awards, across all the categories, our judges were able to give awards to firms as diverse as the global giants of Citi Private Bank to Northampton-based investment specialists, Cave & Sons.
