Janus Henderson’s Barnard: Other central banks can’t keep up with Fed

Structural issues and low inflation will prevent other central banks following the US Federal Reserve on its auto-pilot rate-hiking cycle, says Janus Henderson co-head of strategic fixed income Jenna Barnard.

Barnard describes the late-cycle environment as “tough” for bond investors and cites the “places to hide” that she and co-manager John Pattullo are finding for the Janus Henderson Strategic Bond fund.

She also reveals the areas in global credit markets the pair is avoiding.
