New recruits include Sam Ward as senior relationship manager, Dean Stewart as relationship manager for the Midlands region and Mike Middleton as strategic financial planner for the North and Scotland.

Ward joins from Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management with 27 years’ experience in international wealth management and Stewart joins from Coutts after 20 years’ working in private banking. Both will join the high-net worth team.

Middleton is a chartered financial planner with a background in client-facing roles at Barclays Private Banking and Lloyds TSB Private Bank.

The firm has also made internal hires, including Dominic Smith as a relationship manager in Manchester and Kelly Lasarow as relationship manager for the South region. Both join from HSBC Premier.

Carli Watson has moved from a non-client facing role in the UK private banking team to a relationship manager in the specialist charities team.

Chris Allen, regional head of global private banking for the UK, Channel Islands, France and Germany, said: “As we continue to invest in growing our private banking presence across the UK, I am pleased we are able to recruit both from the market and from within HSBC.”
