Jones rose to assistant branch manager at Hargreave Hale’s Blackpool office between 2004 and 2015 and returns to the firm after a brief stint at Hedley & Co Stockbrokers.
He has also held roles at RBS, Deutsche Bank AG and UBS.
“I am pleased to once again be part of Hargreave Hale and look forward to working with the Lancaster team and delivering quality investment management solutions for clients and professional advisers in the area,” Jones said.
His return to the Hargreave Hale fold comes after Canaccord Genuity Wealth Mangement acquired the business in an £80m deal announced in July.
The firms will continue to operate independently until next year to avoid disruption for customers it was announced at the time.
On Jones’ appointment, branch manager Andrew Garstang (pictured) said: “We are pleased to welcome Doug back into the Hargreave Hale fold. He is an experienced investment manager who is familiar with our culture and the emphasis we place on providing a first-class service.”
