Charles Omonua (pictured inset) has joined the private equity firm as a business development manager to help raise capital from ultra-high net worth investors, family offices and wealth managers.

He joins from Charlemagne Capital where he worked for 10 years marketing long-only and hedge funds and prior to that, spent six years as a fund researcher at Coutts.

Now director of business development at Ardenton, Wood (pictured above) said: “Ardenton is a fast-growing private equity business that sees significant opportunities in investing in UK companies.

“Charles brings significant experience and expertise to the team which we will look to grow as our UK investor base increases.”

Wood ended his 17-year career at Jupiter Asset Management in September. He had been business development director concerned with wealth management during his last six years with the firm.

Omonua is only the second member of Ardenton’s London team, and will be responsible for raising capital, assisting clients and facilitating deals.

Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, Ardenton opened its first UK office in Manchester earlier this year and is now expanding its London team.
