Bull market sees dearest investment trusts trading at double-digit premiums
The second and third spots in the Bestinvest list belonged to Tilney’s own ready-made portfolios of funds and ETFs, which are variations on a long-term, growth theme. While the Tilney Bestinvest Growth portfolio includes familiar names like J O Hambro UK Opportunities, Liontrust Special Situations and Majedie UK Equity, its more aggressive cousin prefers having larger exposures to shares in small companies and overseas firms. Tilney recommends the latter portfolio for “investors with a high tolerance for risk and a long investment time horizon.”
