Bateman was hired for Fidelity’s multi-manager team in January 2012, joining from Barclays Wealth.
While at Barclays Wealth he ran £2.3bn of assets across five multi-manager funds and prior to that held multi-manager positions at Northern Trust and Investment Manager Selection.
Skelt is a member of the investment solutions group within Fidelity, which runs more than $42bn and has been with the group for more than 20 years.
Morningstar said both funds previously held a Morningstar OBSR analyst rating of bronze and the ratings agency will meet with Bateman in the coming weeks to discuss his plans for the fund.
