Kids, Mifid II and SMCR are set to keep compliance teams busy this year
Annabel Brodie-Smith, communications director, Association of Investment Companies
“Frustratingly, this year we continue to urge regulators to act to protect consumers from the toxic content of Key Information Documents (Kids). We are expecting the FCA’s response in Q1 and we expect Europe’s proposed changes to the Kid rules “as early as possible in the first quarter of 2019.” Also as the Kids rules are being suspended for Ucits funds, the European Commission has to complete its review by the end of this year.
“On a more positive note, the FCA review of RDR is taking place this year and we are looking forward to contributing to it.”
