The UK has been viewed as dismal by investors since the EU referendum in June 2016 and recent political turmoil over the exit deal has only exacerbated negative sentiment.

In October alone, UK equities suffered £214m outflows and retail investors pulled £1.6bn from the UK funds industry across all asset classes, according to the latest Investment Association statistics.
