Columbia Threadneedle taps rival managers to boost UK and European research teams

Asset manager has 160 investment analysts across the business

Columbia Threadneedle has tapped Merian Global Investors and Fidelity International to boost its UK and European equities teams.

Kunal Kothari has joined the firm as an analyst in the 15-strong UK equities team, reporting to Chris Kinder, manager of the higher alpha UK equities strategies. He has 14 years’ experience, the last eight as a UK companies researcher across various sectors at Merian Global Investors.

Jamie Lewis has joined as an analyst for the European Smaller Companies strategies working with managers Philip Dicken and Mine Tezgul. He previously worked at Fidelity International as an equity research analyst covering European smaller companies.
