Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) has hired Oliver Harvey to take on the role of managing director and support the growth of its high net worth (HNW) bespoke investment management service.

Harvey joins with 19 years’ experience, most recently working as an investment director at Rathbones. He previously worked at Fleming Private Asset Management where he started his career.

He is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Harvey’s appointment follows the arrival of Tim Eliot-Cohen in September 2017, who also joined from Rathbones after 16 years. Since joining, Close Brothers AM said Eliot-Cohen has helped drive further expansion of its bespoke business through the opening of a new office in the West End of London.

Martin Andrew, chief executive of CBAM, said: “Our HNW Bespoke investment service has gone from strength to strength, and is integral to our long-term plans.

“Oliver has extensive investment and private client experience and he will make an excellent addition and contribution to the growth of our West End office. I am delighted to welcome him to our team. ”
