Close Brother Asset Management (CBAM) has announced an opening date for its Birmingham office, which will house teams offering advice and investment management services.

Opening on 5 December, CBAM’s Midlands hub will host an advice team led by the managing director for the Midlands and the southwest regions, Ben Staniforth, who joined the firm from Chase de Vere in June.

The Birmingham office will also host six investment managers, including Sally-Ann Gallier and Phil Mountford, who arrived at CBAM from Rathbones and Investec this year.

Eddy Reynolds, CBAM CEO, said: “We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new Birmingham site, one of CBAM’s most significant full-service offices in the UK, which will further expand the availability of our bespoke advice and investment management services.

“Deepening our regional presence is a key strategic priority for CBAM, and the opening of the Birmingham office follows a range of new key hires over the last year. We believe that our clients continue to value a personal and local connection with their advisers and investment managers, and this only becomes more evident during turbulent times of market volatility, such as the type we are all living through now.”

The Birmingham office is the latest hub opened by CBAM as it seeks to increase its regional presence. The asset manager already has offices across the UK, including in Bristol, Chester and Edinburgh.
