Ebru Smith, formerly of Duncan Lawrie Private Banking, will lead the portfolio management team in Reigate to develop investment strategy and new investment ideas.

She has more than 20 years’ experience in wealth management and worked at Reliance Mutual Insurance Society and Schroders before joining Duncan Lawrie.

Before entering the industry she was an economic assistant at the British Embassy in Turkey.

William Hepburne-Scott, Brewin Dolphin’s regional director for London and the South East, said: “As we continue to grow and develop our offering in the South East, it is a reflection on the strength of our proposition that we are able to recruit candidates of the quality of Ebru to join us in the South East.

“I am confident that Ebru will add an extra dimension to our existing team in Reigate.”

Smith holds a degree in economics and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
