Amundi has named Ryan Myerberg (pictured), a senior credit manager from Janus Henderson, as head of absolute return for its global fixed income team.

Myerberg replaces David Ric who stepped down last April to set up his own specialist fixed income boutique, Resco Asset Management. He will be based in the European manager’s London office.

At Janus Henderson Myerberg oversaw the global macro and global credit strategies, including the €839m (£725m) Horizon Total Return Bond Sicav and the Global Flexible Income fund. He was also responsible for global economic, policy and political analysis, and was a member of the investment strategy group, where he made global asset allocation decisions across a number of fixed income strategies. He started at Janus in 2010 as an international fixed income trader responsible covering non-US fixed income securities.

Previous roles include working as the head of European fixed income for CF Global Trading and a trader for BlueMountain Capital Management in London. He started his career in New York, working in sales and trading roles within the fixed income divisions of Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers.
